Culling badgers on a Monday

There’s a call to cull badgers in the name of saving cattle from tuberculosis. The cull will lead to thousands of healthy badgers being slaughtered but there is evidence that such a cull will have an effect on preventing the spread of TB in cattle within 3-4 years and possibly for as long as six. Nevertheless, there’s a petition you can sign here if you think the cull should not go ahead on the basis of conflicting evidence that suggests culling does not work.

Meanwhile, we saw a dead badger while hiking in The Peak District, quite bizarrely someone had placed a ring of rocks around the carcass.
