My quick cover version of the Seals & Crofts classic “Summer Breeze”, if you listen very carefully you can hear the ironic English rain pelting against my studio window as I was recording the acoustic guitar…it was a glorious sunny evening when I started, but it turned on me just as the sun was setting.
But hadn’t S&C heard of rampant sexism, widespread unemployment, the awful weather we’re having, the cold, heartless hue of compact fluorescent lightbulbs, noisy neighbours from hell playing their music at all hours and don’t forget the seasonal allergic rhinitis triggered by all that jasmine pollen floating around…I used to love this song…b*st*rds…
