I’ve been trying to entertain the locals with various online open mic nights, live broadcasts from my back garden, Rock-around-the-Wok, Saturday Night No-fever, and other such nonsense.

But the professionals will always outshine, even if I did sing a Stevie Wonder song to camera wearing a mask made from an old guitar-patterned gig shirt and dance with Mrs Sciencebase in our living room to The Bee Gees and Michael Jackson while wearing a single blue nitrile rubber glove…
