A spot of garden twitching

A lazy Sunday afternoon following a busy extended weekend of singing, wining, and picnicking with Chant Anjou and TyrannoChorus choirs. So, no inclination to go too far afield to see our feathered friends (except on the dog walk this morning to check up on the woodpecker chick, of course).

There was a willow tit (or possibly a marsh tit) and a robin, but I didn’t get shots of those, nor of the rooks overhead screaming at a low-flying buzzard. The sky was too bright to keep up with the aerobatics of a dozen or so swifts overhead, but as compensation I do have a couple of snaps of a baby house sparrow and goldfinches…
