It’s inevitable…someone in my newsfeed will post the article (from September 2014) that’s doing the rounds again claiming to have photos of the original African-American singer on which the cartoon Betty Boop was modelled. It’s not a scam, it’s not a fake but it was done in 2008 by Ukrainian photographic collective Retro Atelier with a model called Olya. Seriously, you can tell from the quality of the photos and indeed the makeup that it’s a modern recreation.
