Dedicated to the memory of planetary scientist Colin Pillinger (9 May 1943 – 7 May 2014) whose death we learned of today sadly.
This is a remix of my song Escape to the Stars about humanity’s perennial preoccupation with the demise of planet Earth and the possibility that we might find a second home among the stars.
The song now sports a beautiful dual sax solo from Edward Bryant aka Andoran. Eddie is a musician, composer, producer and engineer, owner of Dreamweaver Studios based in Northwest Washington. He is perhaps best known for machinama theme music. The collaboration arose from a chance tweet via another musical collaborator of mine ‘The Manc Roger Waters’ and father of Manchedelica Dek Ham, aka MonoStone. If stardust’s what we’re made of, then our fate is ever near. But, if we come up with an escape plan, what would we be leaving behind, an empty shell and our pride?
