We’ve been singing this in C5 rehearsals, so I thought I’d lay down a very rough and ready demo. Just me on vocal, acoustic guitar, bass and a bit of shaker and stompbox. Simpler arrangement than the original Verve version, and maybe a bit too much gravel in my voice, I won’t be quite so aggressive performing it in the pub, or maybe I will…depends on the crowd and how many bottles are thrown (#BluesBrothersCage)
I adapted a photo my wife took a couple of years ago of me walking with our dog along the sea wall in sunny Lyme Regis (how rock and roll!), there was another guy with his daughter and a couple in the frame but I ‘shopped them out, obviously…and stretched the sun, sea and sand…
