P.O.V.

Can you see the world as I see it?

Standing close to the water’s edge when I noticed,
the last thing on my mind
Hadn’t thanked you for our time together,
hadn’t thanked you for being so kind

Something chased away my feelings,
chased away my foolish dreams
Something’s lost but I don’t see that anything’s quite the way it’s meant to seem

Can you see the world like I see it,
And does it look as grey to you?
Is it any wonder I’m in the habit
Of trying to change your point of view?
Oh do you see the world like I see it?
Is the light still fading on you?
There’s still a chance for us to grab it
And bring the colours back into view

Walking back from the water’s edge,
now there’s nothing, there’s nothing on my mind
I hadn’t felt that we could make it at all I’m the fool,
I’m the fool when you’re unkind

Can you see the world like I see it,
And does it look as grey to you?
Is it any wonder I’m in the habit
Of trying to change your point of view?

Oh do you see the world like I see it?
Is the light still fading on you?
There’s still a chance for us to grab it
And bring the colours back into view
