UPDATE: Record-breaking audiences this year! What a show!!!

It’s that time of year again…Oh, yes it was!

I’m playing guitar with the pit band for Cottenham Theatre Workshop’s winter show. I’ve been with the band since we did A Christmas Carol in 2013.

On technical rehearsal day, which always takes place on the Sunday before our run, I get to dash about with a camera too and take a few record shots of the cast in action. Oh, by the way, we have a cracking show – The Nutcracker. In no particular order and excluding some to avoid spoilers etc.

Previous shows with which I’ve been involved as guitarist include Cinderella (2014), The Wizard of Oz (2016), Aladdin (2017), Worzel Gummidge (2018), Sleeping Beauty (2019), Treasure Island (2021). The late Debbie Chalmers took over as Musical Director just for 2015 and there was no conventional pit band that year. In 2020, COVID-19 stopped us putting on a show.

*I’m the only guitar. Barbara D is our Musical Director on keys. Rob W on clarinet, and Adam S from C5 the Band on drums.
