
I’ve seen Spoonbills (Platalea leucorodia) in a couple of places before – in Wells and environs, North Norfolk (photo above) and at RSPB North Warren, Aldeburgh, Suffolk. Four have now turned up at Kingfisher Bridge Nature Reserve in Cambridgeshire. The weather was a bit grumpy and grey so I didn’t get nice bright shots of the birds nor was there any way to get close to them without spooking them.
